CREATE EXPLORE DISCOVER ART RETREAT NEWS RELEASE – The weekend of October 18 – 20, the Create Explore Discover Art Retreat offers women the space to tap into their creativity. Nestled in the stunning scenery of Truckee, California, participants choose from a variety of artistic workshops to design their own experience.
At this fall’s retreat, San Francisco artist Mati McDonough will lead participants in how to make daring choices in paint based upon her bestselling book Daring Adventures in Paint. Budding photographers have a chance to study with Alessandra Cave and knitting aficionados will learn to knit, crochet and embroider with artist, Anne Weil.
“I hear from so many women that do not have time in their lives for creative exploration, and I wanted to design a sacred space. Come to laugh, learn, and most importantly spend just a few delicate days tending to your own needs,” said Create Explore Discover founder Sarah Stevenson.
Stevenson’s desire to help women seek balance culminated in the first Create Explore Discover two years ago.
After seeing the participants re-energize over the course of the weekend, Stevenson resolved to bring an intimate group of women together again in 2013 for the third year.
