MINDEN, Nev.-The Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park is the setting for an outdoor concert by The Novelists on Sunday, August 25.

The Novelists is a nationally touring acoustic group with multiple lead singers. The Reno-based quartet has built their sound around storytelling and four-part harmonies, with a focus on acoustic guitars, bass and other stringed instruments.

Carson Valley’s Vanessa Littrell, a vocalist, introduces the evening in the style of Sarah McLachlan and Norah Jones.

Joyce’s Fine Jewelry in Gardnerville is the event’s sponsor. The Carson Valley Lions Club will be selling hamburgers, snacks and soft drinks, while the non-profit Friends of Dangberg Home Ranch will be selling beer and wine. Concert-goers also have the option to bring their own food and beverage if they choose, and must bring seating if desired.

The concert begins at 5:00 pm on the park’s east lawn. Tickets are $10/adults, free for 16 and younger. Advance purchase is recommended, and tickets are available locally at Joyce’s Fine Jewelry, Battle Born Wine, Plant It Nursery and The Entertainer. On-line ticketing options and more information are at www.dangberghomeranch.org. The park is located at 1450 Highway 88, Minden, Nevada, one-half mile south of the Carson Valley Swim Center.
