image002SQUEEZE IN NEWS RELEASE – In an effort to draw attention to the year-round need for food and other resources in the Northern Nevada area, all four locations of Squeeze In restaurants are holding a food and hygiene item drive for Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada and the St. Vincent’s Programs.

During the month of August, Squeeze In will be collecting non-perishable food items, such as pasta, rice, canned food, boxed food and baby food, as well as travel-sized personal hygiene items, including shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, deodorant, razors, feminine hygiene items and diapers. If you bring one of these items to one of four Squeeze In locations, you’ll get a free short stack of pancakes or a half order of biscuits and gravy on your next visit! The Squeeze In has collection barrels inside their restaurant locations for your donations.

Catholic Charities will be distributing the food donations in our St. Vincent’s Food Pantry, and the hygiene items will be given out to local families and job seekers through our Emergency Assistance Program. Combined, these two programs help close to 200,000 people in an average year.

There are four Squeeze In restaurants, the original in Historic Downtown Truckee California, two in Reno Nevada (Northwest and South), and one in Sparks, Nevada. All locations are open from 7am to 2pm every day. For locations and hours, visit www.SqueezeIn.com.
