With great sadness, the Reno Police Department announces the death of Senior Officer Scott C. Sorensen after a long bout with illness. Officer Sorensen will receive a line of duty death funeral, with full honors.
Services will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 4, at 10 a.m. at the University of Nevada Reno’s Lawlor Events Center, 1500 N. Virginia St., Reno.
Graveside services will immediately follow at Mountain View Cemetery, 435 Stoker Ave., Reno.
A viewing will occur on Tuesday, Sept. 3, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Walton Funeral Home, 875 W. 2nd St., Reno.
The public is welcome to attend any of these events.
