MILAN, Italy – The University of Nevada men’s basketball team improved to 2-0 with an easy 99-57 victory over Arese-Coma in Milan, Italy. Assistant coach Keith Brown was given control of the squad by head coach David Carter after associate head coach Doug Novsek led the team last night. The Wolf Pack has two games remaining on a 10-day tour of Italy and assistant coach Zac Claus will direct the team in one of the final two games.
With the game tied at 19 after one quarter Nevada outscored the hosts 27-11 in the second quarter and led 46-30 at halftime. The Pack continued its domination in the second half and cruised to the 99-57 victory.
Five Pack players scored in double figures led by sophomore guard Marqueze Coleman’s 21 points. Senior Jerry Evans, Jr. totaled 18 points while Cole Huff added 15, Michael Perez 14 and Lucas Stivrins 13.
Huff had his second double-double in as many nights grabbing 10 rebounds and totaled two steals. Coleman and Evans each grabbed nine rebounds.
Deonte Burton led the Pack with five assists and had four rebounds and four points.
Nevada takes tomorrow off and will travel to Venice for the day.
