RPD NEWS — On August 3rd, 2013, approximately 3:15 PM a Sparks resident was killed in a 3-vehicle collision at Mill and I-580. The victim, who was riding his motorcycle east-bound on Mill, was struck by a motorist traveling south-bound across Mill Street attempting to enter I-580. A 3rd vehicle became involved in the collision as it was being driven east-bound on Mill. Mill Street at I-580 was closed for several hours during the investigative process.
Alcohol and speed do not appear to be a factor in the collision.
The investigation into the cause of this collision is being conducted by the Reno Police Department Major Accident Investigation Team. At this point in the investigation the names of all involved parties are not being released.
