KNPB says save the date for the “Cat in the Hat” at home plate

running-bases-hi-five-300x200-3776355-3846984KNPB NEWS RELEASE – Cat in the Hat from the PBS KIDS series The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That! is traveling in to Reno this Sunday and Monday. He will be joining forces with two of the biggest summer activities in Reno. Cat in the Hat will return for the second time to the KNPB Day at the Aces Sunday, July 21. After the gates open at 5:00 p.m. Cat in the Hat will be available to meet kids and take pictures. Cat in the Hat has the honor of throwing out the first pitch at 6:05 p.m. as the Aces face off against the Las Vegas 51s. Make sure to watch throughout the game as Archie and Cat in the Hat team up to keep the Aces going throughout the game. KNPB Channel 5 Public Broadcasting will be providing entertainment during the game at their tent located in the Kids Zone playground. At the tent kids can play interactive PBS KIDS games.

Cat in the Hat will then join the Artown Family Festival and Series Monday night, July 22, in Wingfield Park at 5:00 p.m., to usher in the evening of festivities featuring the Story Pirates. Kids of all ages can meet Cat in the Hat and take pictures with him before the show. KNPB will also have a tent where children can play interactive PBS KIDS games.  Other activities at the Family Festival include face painting, bubbles and coloring.
