EDAWN is launching the Diversified Business Marketing Campaign and we need your support.  The goal of this campaign is simply to augment or reinforce the existing advertising seen in the more public spaces by our visitors, with additional business and community advertising. Our region consists of companies from every industry sector and has incredible community assets that are in many ways invisible to our 400,000 monthly visitors, the millions of travelers that drive through our region and even our residents from a public advertising perspective. It is time to “tell our story” of the real Reno-Sparks and to promote this region as a vibrant place for business and entrepreneurs, as well as a great place to live and play.

The message is simply, “Expand your business and Enjoy your life.” The marketing materials, developed by KPS3 Marketing, highlight one of our business strengths and one of our quality of life strengths in a series of visuals. This campaign will complement our other community marketing efforts that are also promoting the strengths and positives of our region.

From EDAWN’s perspective it is important to target the business travelers to help them understand more about our many strengths as a business community and to consider us a viable business option. It is also crucial for employees, entrepreneurs and the young creative class to understand that we are a great place to live, work and play.

“This campaign is asking all of us to do just a little more in the promotion of our region as a great place for business and for living,” said, Mike Kazmierski, EDAWN CEO. Together we can really make a difference. If you are already advertising consider donating some space, one month of a billboard or a few taxi-tops to the “Expand your business and Enjoy your life” message or consider funding one of the EDAWN advertising options below. The goal is simply to help others learn what we already know, and in the process improve our economic activity as we attract and grow quality jobs. We still have 20,000 currently unemployed neighbors and friends that need our help.”

Here is how you can help. This campaign is funded through the EDAWN Foundation, a 501c3 dedicated to the education of the community and our visitors on the economic strengths of the region. A donation to this foundation is fully tax deductible and 100% of the donation will go to the marketing efforts. EDAWN will cover all overhead costs. Consider the following donation options:

1. Non-specific donation to support the overall efforts of this foundation. These donations will be used to purchase materials to take advantage of donated billboard or truck wrap space or many other marketing opportunities. Contact Rae McElroy at [email protected] or mail a check to the EDAWN Foundation (5190 Neil Road Suite 110 Reno, NV 89502) or go to our website at www.edawn.org.

2. Specific donation to fund one or more of the messages as follows:

a. LED edge lit display panel 6 x 10 feet (like the ones at the airport) – To be purchased and displayed in a prominent public space, like the convention center or bowling center. The donor will be given specific recognition on the panel with a logo or “donated by” message and can pick from one of a dozen options. This panel will be displayed with donor recognition for two years. Donation of $5,000, fully tax deductible.

b. A Taxi-Top for one year – To diversify the messages displayed on the taxis that greet our visitors when they travel throughout our community. Donors can pick from a dozen options. Donation of $1,000, fully tax deductible. Another option offered is that companies can put their own message or marketing materials on the taxi-tops for the same cost instead of the tax deduction, would have a business/marketing expense.

This additional advertising will promote the region as a great place to, not only enjoy our many visitor industry events and activities, but also, to consider doing business here. Help to support the “expand your business, Enjoy your life” message.

“We all love our community, and together there is so much we can do to reach our potential,” said Suzy Klass with NAI Alliance. “I joined the EDAWN Foundation Board because as a commercial real estate broker, our markets are ripe for expanded development. We have the quality of life, the favorable business atmosphere, and the talent in our educational institutions. We see growth coming to Reno/Sparks and I am so excited by the Diversified Business Marketing campaign.”
