CITY OF RENO NEWS RELEASE —The City of Reno is proud to be one of the sponsors for this year’s Compression! Art and Fire Festival. Compression! Art and Fire Festival is one of Artown’s most popular events, featuring fire arts, flame effects, and performances by dancers and artists. Attendees will enjoy Burning Man art cars, projects and theme camps, a vendor area, and fire garden. Admission for this family event is free ($3 donation is suggested).Compression! Art and Fire Festival is on Saturday, July 27 from 3:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. at Reno City Plaza (10 N. Virginia Street) and on Virginia Street from Mill Street to 2nd Street. On February 27, 2013, the Reno City Council approved $2,000 in in-kind sponsorship for City services for the event which will cover the costs associated with facility rental fees and city personnel.
