Dolan Auto Group, a northern Nevada new and used Toyota, Scion, Lexus and Mazda-Kia dealer, is sponsoring a child safety seat checkpoint inspection on Saturday, July 27, at 9 a.m. at Reno Toyota, 2100 Kietzke Lane. The inspection is free of charge but limited to the first 30 vehicles. Early arrival is recommended.
“Three out of four car seats are not installed properly, needlessly putting children at risk of serious injury,” Ryan Dolan, CEO of Dolan Auto Group, said. “We hope to raise awareness of this fact and help reduce the risk of danger for children in our community.”
Cars should arrive at Reno Toyota with their child safety seat that is currently being used and plan to spend approximately 30 minutes for the inspection. Certified REMSA volunteers will check the current installation, correct any problems and provide education on the proper use and installation of car seats. Volunteers will also check for obvious defects and note any seat that is on a national recall list.
