CARSON CITY – Governor Brian Sandoval today announced that he has appointed Troy Dillard as director of the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles, effective immediately.
“Troy has done an exceptional job serving the citizens of Nevada as interim director of the DMV,” Sandoval said. “Troy is respected throughout the department and worked diligently with legislators during the most recent legislative session. I am pleased he has agreed to continue to serve our state in this manner.”
Dillard, a former administrator of the Department of Motor Vehicles’ Compliance Enforcement Division, has been serving as interim director since November 2012. Dillard has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Science from the University of Nevada Reno and graduated from Mineral County High School.
