WASHOE COUNTY  NEWS RELEASE

washoe-150x150-5176027-5347709Route 447 and Route 34 near Gerlach have been re-opened. Motorists in that area are urged to exercise caution while driving as further flooding of the area may be possible.

Earlier today Washoe County road crews closed Route 447, approximately 5 miles north of Gerlach, due to flooding over the roadway. County Route 34 north out of Gerlach was also closed as there was heavy water and debris washing out the road in many locations.

The County is also working on localized flooding in the Spanish Springs area from La Posada to Calle De La Plata east of the Pyramid Lake Highway.  Crews in the area are now clearing debris from the roadways.
