On June 27th 6:30pm at Bodega Nightclub, the 2013 100Affect Awards Committee, will announce the 100 most influential and inspiring leaders within Reno-Tahoe over ten categories from foodies to prominent CEOs’, police officers to charitable leaders.
Kick off event for the second annual 100Affect Celebration and Awards Show will be held on Thursday, June 27th, 6:30pm at Bodega Night Club, 555 West 4th Street, Reno. Event will include networking, raffles prizes, live music and the official announcements of the 2013 one hundred most influential and inspirational leaders of Reno, Sparks, Fernley, Carson City and Tahoe.
All ten categories will be announced which include: Super Heroes, Beautiful Minds, Charity Drivers, Foodies, Community Leaders, Visual Artists, Performing Artists, Resource Innovators, Industry Experts and Risk Takers and Visionaries. One hundred and seventy six nominations came in from the community during the month of May when the nominations were open to the public. Board members and show producer, Ashley Graham, submitted another thirty-two names on top of that for a total of two hundred and eight nominees. Those two hundred and eight nominees are analyzed by Board Members to determine if they are both influential, meaning they are a leader with a minimum of fifty others who find them worth following and inspiring, meaning they are a positive and abundant influence within the community. Nominees also need to match the requirements for the category they were nominated for.
Once nominees are announced and become honorees they receive grade A treatment from the 100Affect organization which includes a professional photo shoot by, Jeramie Lu Photography, with skilled hair and make-up artists. The Honorees are recognized within an annual magazine released on September 10th titled, Affect, which last year received over 130,000 views locally, nationally and internationally. Those one hundred are celebrated by the community at the awards show in October where the top ten Honorees of the ten categories are announced.
