May 18-19: High Desert Iris Society Show
Moana Nursery, 1100 W. Moana Lane – inside retail store
Saturday: 1– 6 p.m.
Sunda: 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Non-society members are encouraged to exhibit their favorite, named variety blooms; bring to Moana Nursery between 8 and 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.
The show is a must see. Then come back in August to purchase your favorites during the Iris Society sale on Aug. 3.
May 18: Iris – A High Desert Perennial Addiction
10 a.m.
Join High Desert Society Iris Society member, iris addict and life long garden lover Patricia Eisenberg, master iris judge and HD Iris Society founder Evelyn Condo and iris hybridizer Larry Lockhart to learn all about this tough but gorgeous perennial that thrives in the high desert.
They’ll cover everything from what a rhizome is to planting, bloom time, soil, watering, dividing and showing your favorite iris blooms.
All seminars are free and held at Moana Nursery, 1190 W. Moana Lane, in our Landscape and Design Center unless otherwise stated. Seminars begin promptly at 10 a.m. and last one hour.
