Hands-on science adventure at Nevada State Museum’s Family Fun Saturday

220px-CarsoncitymintNEVADA STATE MUSEUM NEWS RELEASE CARSON CITY – Water works its way to the center of attention Saturday, May 11, at the Nevada State Museum’s hands-on science adventure in the museum’s Carson City Discovery Lab from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Children will be able to take a close look at water cycles, quality and states by conducting scientific experiments. Participants will use map skills to identify geographical features in the Carson River Watershed and color a map or make a mobile to take home.

By popular demand, Family Fun Saturdays at the Nevada State Museum, Carson City, will continue on select weekends through spring. The science series is recommended for children aged 6 to 11, who are accompanied by parents or a responsible adult. The lab can accommodate eight guests at a time. Each group of eight will get a 30-minute lab session and an opportunity to complete the craft project. Tickets will be available at the Dema Guinn Concourse at noon.
