GOLD RANCH NEWS —  The California Lottery Commission voted unanimously to bring POWERBALL to the state and that means Gold Ranch RV Casino and Resort’s Lottery Building, which is located just across the California border, will likely be very busy on April 8th when sales begin for the first draw on April 10th.

“We are really excited to be able to offer POWERBALL to lottery enthusiasts in our area,” says Tom MacIntosh, Gold Ranch’s General Manager. “As the second highest volume station, we have lots of winners, like the recent $26,000 SuperLotto winner. So POWERBALL is just going to give us more.”

The $2 POWERBALL game is similar to the MEGA Millions® game: players choose five numbers from 1 to 59 and one POWERBALL number from 1 to 35. Players can choose their own numbers or use Quick Pick. Draws will be held every Wednesday and Saturday at 7:59 p.m. PST.

A major difference between California’s existing draw games is that the POWERBALL jackpot begins at $40 million and increases by at least $10 million every roll.

POWERBALL’s pool closure occurs promptly at 7 p.m. PST each draw day. Besides the jackpot, there are eight additional ways to win prizes. The amounts will vary due to the State’s pari-mutuel rules. The POWERBALL draws take place in Tallahassee, Florida.

Gold Ranch Casino and RV Resort is located off I-80 at Exit 2 in Verdi, NV. Plenty of parking is available.
