DISCOVERY MUSEUM NEWS RELEASE – From Thursday, April 4, through Sunday, April 7, the Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum (The Discovery) will take part in Nano Days, a national celebration of nano science. At various times throughout the four-day celebration, volunteers and educators from The Discovery will be demonstrating various types of nano technology. In addition, local author and nano scientist, Ben Rogers, will give a presentation about how nano science is used in our everyday lives.
Here are just a few of the many nano activities happening during Nano Days at The Discovery:
Little Science for Little Ones
Thursday, April 4 · 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Ages: Recommended for ages 5 and under
Zoom Into Nano
Thursday, April 4 · 3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Ages: Recommended for ages 6 and up
Hey, Wait a Nanosecond
Saturday, April 6 · 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Ages: Recommended for ages 6 and up
Meet Nano Scientist Ben Rogers, PhD
Saturday, April 6 · 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Ages: Recommended for ages 6 and up
