Video Gaming Technologies, Inc. opens new location in Reno

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF WESTERN NEVADA NEWS RELEASE – Video Gaming Technologies. Inc. (VGT) and the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN) announce the opening of their new location in Reno. Governor Brian Sandoval joined EDAWN CEO Mike Kazmierski in welcoming VGT to northern Nevada with a ribbon cutting and press conference at their new facility in south Reno. The announcement brings 70 engineering and software development jobs over the next five years. VGT is a leader in the development of casino games and will be strategically located in Reno. to further expand in the gaming industry.

“Reno offers VGT the business, workforce, educational environment and quality of life that will allow us to grow while providing a pivotal location for our new product development.  We are proud to be a new community member and being part of Reno’s growth,” said Jon Yarbrough – VGT’s CEO.

The Reno location has a development area as well as Q&A testing lab for VGT’s products. The creative environment encourages innovative thinking and design for the newest games on the market. Widely known for their creation of Live-Call® Bingo, VGT continues to innovate beyond just the games by creating the revolutionary narrow depth cabinet which allows a machine to hold double the number of games compared to a conventional cabinet.

The Reno location has already hired more than 40 full-time employees, and will continue to grow to a team of 70 in the years ahead. The company will be staffing engineers and software development positions with an average wage above $74,000. Headquartered in Tennessee with locations in Oklahoma, California, Illinois and now Nevada, VGT is one of the fastest growing privately held companies in the exciting industry of gaming.
