Two in custody after using fraudulent credit cards to purchase vehicles

In the afternoon of March 22, 2013, The Reno Police Department was contacted regarding a fraud that occurred at an Auto Sales Business in the Reno area.

Officers arrived to discover that two subjects had used false Credit Cards to purchase two vehicles. While investigating the case two additional suspects entered the business and attempted to purchase an additional vehicle with a false Credit Card. Officers and Detectives from the Financial Crimes Unit coordinated efforts to take the suspects into custody. It was determined that the suspects that were arrested had a small amount of a controlled substance and several fraudulent credits cards in their possession. The suspects admitted that they had intent to return to Las Vegas with the vehicles.

The following Suspects were arrested for:

Burglary, Possession of a stolen credit card, Fraudulent use of a credit card, Uttering a fictitious instrument, Identity theft and Possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine
