John Restrepo, principal of RCG Economics LLC, will be the keynote speaker at this month’s WIN breakfast meeting on Friday, March 29, at 7 a.m. in the Capri Ballroom at the Peppermill Resort Spa Casino. Sponsored by Truckee Meadows Community College Foundation, the popular networking breakfast event will feature Restrepo’s “Our Economic Recovery Road: Reset, Rebuild, Recover.”
Restrepo has been providing regional economic and real estate consulting services for more than 33 years, 24 of which were in Nevada. A few of his many professional accomplishments include being appointed by Governors Guinn, Gibbons and Sandoval to various economic commissions and serving on several committees including the UNLV Department of Economics.
In 1997 Restrepo founded RCG in Las Vegas. The company is the oldest and most established regional economics, real estate consulting and public policy research firm in Nevada. Prior to starting RCG, he was the director of consulting in the Las Vegas office of Coopers & Lybrand, now PricewaterhouseCoopers. He has analyzed economics and markets in Nevada, Arizona, California, Texas and Southeast U.S.
Through RCG, Restrepo also publishes the Economic INsight newsletter, a leading publication covering economic trends in southern Nevada, Nevada and the U.S. He is a much sought after speaker to business and community groups and is quoted extensively in national and local print, television and radio media on public policy, real estate, regional economics and resort industry issues.
