Beginning Tuesday, April 16, the Spanish Springs Library at 7100 A Pyramid Lake Highway in Sparks will be open from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Tuesdays.
Under the current Tuesday schedule of noon to 8 p.m., the 7-8 p.m. hour consistently has fewer patrons than the 11 a.m. – noon hour on other days during the week. The Library Board of Trustees approved a staff recommendation to change the hours.
“This change is being implemented in response to how the community uses this library,” says library director Arnie Maurins. “As a system, it is our goal to provide the best possible library service to this community, and I believe this action helps us accomplish that.”
