At Katie’s, the variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner choices is enhanced by an array of appetizers and homemade desserts. Katie’s is continuing its eggs Benedict special on Saturdays in April: it’s $4.99 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.  This traditional favorite includes a toasted English muffin, grilled Canadian bacon, two poached eggs, Hollandaise sauce and hash browns.  Katie’s 24-hour signature special is a $5.99 hamsteak and eggs plate with a hamsteak big enough for sandwich leftovers the next day. There also is a $4.99 “loaded pancakes” special offered mornings until 11 a.m.  Katie’s has two house-made soups each day and there is a daily soup and half sandwich special from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for $4.99.

Katie’s is well known for its nightly dinner specials served from 2 to 10 p.m. On Mondays in April, Katie’s offers a Mexicali plate with tortillas, refried beans, Spanish rice and salsa for $5.99. Tuesday’s special is your choice of chicken fettuccini Alfredo or chicken Parmigiana with pasta and marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese and broccoli for $5.99. The Wednesday special is a roast pork loin plate with pan gravy, mashed potatoes and a vegetable for $5.99. Every Thursday in April, Katie’s serves a roast turkey breast plate with mashed potatoes, giblet gravy and stuffing for $6.99. Add soup or salad to any of the Monday through Thursday Katie’s specials for $1.

Katie’s complete prime rib dinner is served every Friday and Saturday night in April for $9.99. Included are a half-pound of slow-roasted prime rib of beef with au jus, twice-baked potato, creamed horseradish sauce and choice of soup or salad. This special also is available in a ¾-pound cut for $12.99 and a full pound cut for $15.99.  “The Chandler” southern fried chicken dinner continues its long run on Sundays in Katie’s and includes mashed potatoes, gravy, coleslaw and a biscuit for $5.99.

Fresh-baked cakes, pies, cupcakes, brownies and cookies are made daily in the Carson Valley Inn Bakery and are available in the display case near the Katie’s cashier counter. As a special bonus for INN Club members during April, all Katie’s baked goods are half off on Mondays when purchased with INN Club points. Points are earned whenever using your card while playing the slots, table games or live poker at the Carson Valley Inn.

Job’s Perk opens daily at 6 a.m. and is a convenient spot for coffee, pastries, sandwiches, salads and chili or clam chowder bowls. In the afternoon and evening, fresh-baked cookies are available and there is an assortment of bottled wine, champagne and canned beers. Job’s Perk also sells newspapers, sundries and CVI-logo items.
