Diamond Peak ski resort hosts Ullr Fest Feb. 8-10

Date:

INCLINE VILLAGE — Diamond Peak Ski Education Foundation will host the fourth annual Ullr Fest Feb. 8-10 to raise funds for the Diamond Peak Ski Team. The action-packed, Viking-themed weekend kicks off Friday, Feb. 8, with a torchlight parade, bonfire and live music, and continues through Sunday with races, food, entertainment and more. Diamond Peak reminds event attendees to come dressed in the best Ullr attire, as the event is named for the Scandinavian god of winter and snow, widely regarded as the patron saint of skiers.

Created to help raise funds for the Diamond Peak Ski Education Foundation, Ullr Fest supports the nonprofit organization designed to help children develop alpine racing skills. The Diamond Peak Ski Team is part of the Tahoe League Race Series, a developmental alpine ski race league for child athletes ages 7-18. Ski teams that participate in the league are part of a 30-year Tahoe tradition of teaching young children the fundamental skills for safe and competitive alpine ski racing.
