GOVERNOR’S OFFICE NEWS RELEASE

CARSON CITY —  Governor Brian Sandoval today announced he has appointed Brian Ayala to the Nevada Commission on Tourism and Victor Chaltiel to the Governor’s Board of Economic Development.  Both appointments are effective immediately.

“I am pleased that both Brian and Victor have agreed to serve our state in this manner,” Governor Brian Sandoval said.  “Brian is the owner of an airport retail concession business, which affords him a front-row seat to the wants and needs of tourists to Southern Nevada.  I am confident that his experience on a daily basis with visitors to our great state will serve the Tourism Commission well.  Victor’s extensive experience in the healthcare industry – a targeted economic development sector – will provide the Board of Economic Development with a strong voice.  Combined with his position on the Board of Trustees of The Adelson Educational Campus, Victor will provide valuable insight and advice to our state’s economic development efforts.”

Ayala, a resident of Las Vegas, is President of Ayala’s Concession Group, an airport retail concession business. As the founder and owner, Ayala is responsible for the day-to-day managements and oversight of all company operations.  A graduate of Western High School and the University of Southern California, Ayala also serves on the Board of Trustees at Three Square.  From 1997 to 2009, Ayala was on the Board of Directors of the Latin Chamber of Commerce and served on the Nevada Energy Policy Committee from 2000 to 2001.

Chaltiel, also a resident of Las Vegas, is the Founder and Chairman of Redhills Ventures, LLC. Chaltiel has 30 plus years of experience in the healthcare industry and until recently served as Founder and Chairman of HealthDataInsights Inc., the industry leader in healthcare claims integrity.  From August 1994 to August 1999, Chaltiel served as Chairman of the Board and CEO of publicly held Total Renal Care Holdings, Inc. now Davita. Chaltiel is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Committee of the Weizmann Institute of Sciences and serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of The Adelson Educational Campus in Las Vegas.  He is a graduate of the Ecole Superieure des Sciences Economiques et Commercials in Essec, Paris, France and holds a master’s degree in business administration from the Harvard Business School.
