Northern Nevada Medical Center welcomes three local cardiologists to their team of physicians affiliated with the Northern Nevada Medical Group.
Kosta Arger, MD; Michael Newmark, MD, FACC, FSCAI; and Tom Nylk, MD, FACC; will join Interventional Cardiologist Thomas Truong, DO. They will be providing heart and vascular care at Northern Nevada Medical Center’s Accredited Chest Pain Center starting on Monday, December 10.

Dr. Arger has practiced cardiology in the Reno area since 1984. He earned his medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency at the University of Nevada, Reno. Dr. Arger went on to complete a fellowship in cardiology at the University of California, Davis.
Dr. Newmark has practiced cardiology in the Reno area since 1977. He earned his medical degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine where he also completed his residency and his fellowship in cardiology. He completed his internship at Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Dr. Nylk earned his medical degree at the Integrated College and Medical School, University of Gdansk, Poland. He completed his residency at Huron Hospital, Cleveland Clinic Health Care System and his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, Shreveport.
Dr. Truong is a native of Sparks, NV and received his bachelor of science at the University of Nevada, Reno. He earned his medical degree at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and completed his residency at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. Dr. Truong completed fellowships in cardiology, interventional cardiology and peripheral vascular medicine at Oklahoma St. and Largo Medical Center in Largo, Florida.
The cardiologists’ office is located on the Northern Nevada Medical Center campus at Sparks Medical Office Building, 2385 E. Prater Way, Suite 205, with potential future locations to follow. To ensure continuity of care, Dr. Arger, Dr. Newmark and Dr. Nylk will continue to see their existing patients.
