Boys & Girls Club receives $38,000 grant award from the Michael Bolton Charities, Inc.

logo2-300x55-8750921-4572780The Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows has received a $38,000 Grant Award from The Michael Bolton Charities, Inc. The Club was one of two local non-profit agencies selected as benefactors for the Nov. 10, Michael Bolton Charities, Inc. 20th Anniversary Dinner and Concert benefit.

“We are very fortunate to be selected by The Michael Bolton Charities in support of our services to children,” said Mike Wurm, chief professional officer of the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows. “This grant will help support our financial aid program for Club Membership and will benefit our programs significantly.”

The Michael Bolton Charities, Inc. (MBC) was founded in 1993 and is based in Michael’s home state of Connecticut. The major focus of the MBC is the critical issue of violence against women and children. Since its inception, more than $10 million has been raised from contributions and net income from special events, benefiting more than 100 organizations in cities across the country that support children and women at risk of poverty, abuse, neglect, homelessness and domestic violence.
