By ThisIsReno

A wide range of eReading choices has come to town, just in time for the fall and holiday shopping seasons. Sundance Books and Music, Northern Nevada’s independent bookseller, is now selling eBooks through its website www.sundancebookstore.com and eReaders by Kobo in the store at 121 California Ave. in Reno.

Beginning this November, Sundance will be able to offer a total eReading experience for their customers, including a full line of eReaders, eReading accessories, and eBooks from Kobo’s catalog of nearly 3 million titles. At the center of the program, will be new e-readers from Kobo, a leader in eReading with more than 10 million registered users worldwide.

“We are pleased to offer our customers a broad and diverse eReading choice,” said Christine Kelly, co-owner of Sundance Books and Music. “By working with Kobo, Sundance will be able to offer our customers an extensive catalog of the eBook titles they love and want, and a choice of innovative new eReaders at affordable prices. Now our loyal customers can buy eBooks and support their independent bookstore at the same time.”

To celebrate the launch of the Sundance/Kobo partnership, customers can take advantage of the following promotions: Those who purchase a Kobo Glo or Kobo Mini between November 19 and 26 will receive a free download of the #1 November Indie Next List book, The Art Forger, by B.A. Shapiro. Additionally, Kobo Minis will be on sale for $49 (regularly $79.99) on Black Friday (Nov. 23) and Small Business Saturday (Nov. 24).

Since 2009, Kobo has built a global base of more than 10 million registered users in 190 countries and one of the largest eBook stores in the world, with 3 million books, newspapers, and magazines. Kobo’s Read Freely philosophy supports an open platform and adoption of industry standards to ensure that people own the books they buy and are never locked to one device or service.
