The University of Nevada School of Medicine will hold one free Student Outreach Clinic next month on Dec. 15 from 8 a.m. to noon.
This clinic is geared toward the medical needs of uninsured citizens age 55 and older and will provide services including cognitive impairment screening, physical exams focusing on cardiology and pulmonology, a medication review, immunizations, cholesterol checks, blood pressure monitoring, lab services, X-rays, EKGs and blood glucose monitoring.
Student Outreach Clinics are a free service providing much needed care for Washoe County’s medically uninsured population.
Under the direct supervision of licensed faculty and community physicians, medical students from the University of Nevada School of Medicine offer monthly Student Outreach Clinics which provide free care to the medically uninsured.

Clinics are held at the School of Medicine’s Family Medicine Center, located on the University of Nevada, Reno campus just north of Mackay Stadium off of North Virginia Street. Take RTC bus route 7 to North Virginia Street or the free Sierra Spirit bus.
