The RCO’s 24th annual College Concerto Competition takes place this Sunday, November 25, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until approximately 1:00 p.m. in Nightingale Concert Hall, in the Church Fine Arts building at the University of Nevada-Reno. We have seven competitors this year, each of whom will perform a concerto of her/his choosing, accompanied by pianist Andrea Lenz. They will compete for cash prizes as well as the chance to perform with the RCO at our concerts on January 26 and 27, 2013.

Admission is free. For many RCO enthusiasts, the College Concerto Competition is one of the highlights of the music year, and we invite you to come to Nightingale Concert Hall and enjoy some or all of the performances by Nevada’s most talented student musicians.

Funding for the College Concerto Competition and for the RCO concerts at which the winner will perform is provided by a generous grant from The Bretzlaff Foundation.
