On Saturday, November 3, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., the National Automobile Museum (10 S. Lake Street) will be transformed into a bustling marketplace. Attendees will see a wide variety of merchant displays and be able to get their holiday shopping done in one day, at one place. More than 100 local businesses will be participating.

Spearheaded by Council Member Sharon Zadra, Reno’s Buy Local Marketplace supports local businesses and stimulates economic development by showcasing local businesses, products, and services.

Admission is $2 per person or 2 cans of food per person. Children under 16 are free. Food will be donated to the Northern Nevada Food Bank. Free parking is available at the National Automobile Museum, at the City of Reno parking lot across from the museum on Mill Street, and at the Washoe County Courthouse located on the southwest corner of Court and South Virginia Streets. Free shuttle service will be available from the Courthouse parking lot.

The City of Reno is committed to economic development and has partnered with the State of Nevada’s ReCharge Nevada coalition and the Economic Development of Western Nevada to spur new businesses and maintain/grow existing businesses.
