“Imagine a perfect driving day with no traffic and a qualified race car driving instructor next to you giving you pointers while you master driving on your favorite road,” said Clara Andriola, NNCARC executive director. “What could be more fun—register for this exciting event and benefit the Red Cross at the same time.”

Registered drivers can choose from three different sessions at various prices, including:

  • Option 1- Performance Driving Experience (PDX)-$100; features both classroom and in-your-car-at-speed instruction. You drive your own car, and progress at your own pace. You’re taught the fundamentals of performance driving. All of this on a real racetrack with real race car drivers sitting beside you as your instructors.
  • Option 2- Self Drive Track Tour-$25; registered driver can drive his/her own car for 5-to-10 laps at moderate (highway) speed, following a pace car;
  • Option 3- Ride Along-$50; a person rides with a professional racecar driver at speed for 5-to-10 laps in the racecar.

Reno Region of the Sports Car Club of America will donate all proceeds from the Drive for the American Red Cross to the Northern Nevada Chapter. The Reno Region of the Sports Car Club of America is helping people affected by disasters like house fires, floods, earthquakes and wildfires, as well as countless crises at home and around the world, by making a donation to support American Red Cross Disaster Relief.
