The two teams closed out the 2012 regular season against each other this past weekend, as the Broncos defeated the Wolf Pack 1-0 Saturday afternoon in Boise, Idaho. With the win, Boise State leads the overall series 11-1-1. The match will mark the first time head coach Dr. Melissa Price has taken Nevada into a conference tournament.

“In athletics, everyone loves a rematch,” head coach Dr. Melissa Price said. “One of the exciting things about a conference tournament is that you are going to face a team that you have already seen once this year. We had some opportunities in our 1-0 loss to the Broncos Saturday to come back and fell short. We will look to sharpen our execution and try to capitalize on our opportunities Wednesday in what should be a great match.”

The winner will face No. 2 seed New Mexico Friday in the semifinal match at 4 p.m. The championship match is slated for Sunday, November 4, and will be televised live on CBS Sports Network beginning at 1 p.m. PT. The winner of Sunday’s championship match will earn the Mountain West’s automatic bid to the 2012 NCAA Women’s Soccer Championship.
