City of Reno looking for local businesses to help enhance the Rink on the River

Date:

As part of its ongoing effort to support local businesses and improve quality of life for its residents, the City of Reno wants to add concession services to its wildly popular Rink on the River this winter season.
The City is interested in finding public or private entities to provide food and/or non food concessions during the winter skating season (typically a day or two before Thanksgiving through the first Sunday in February). The concessions would need to be set up by November 6, 2012.
With a beautiful view of the Truckee River, the Rink on the River, located on the plaza at the corner of First and Virginia Streets in Downtown Reno, provides a festive and fun atmosphere for locals and visitors alike. Last year, 29,147 people enjoyed the rink during the winter season.
All ages and abilities are welcome. In addition to skate rentals, the Rink has sledges available so people with disabilities can join in the fun (sledges are sled/skate devices that permit a seated person to maneuver across the ice using short poles).
For complete instructions and requirements visit www.reno.gov under Featured News. Sealed submittals must be received at the Evelyn Mount Northeast Community Center (attention Joe Wilson, Recreation Supervisor) no later than 10:00 a.m. on October 18, 2012.
