More than 20,000 motorcycles converge in Virginia City, Nev., as the 6thlargest motorcycle event in the country comes to northern Nevada during Street Vibrations, Sept. 19-22, 2012.

While the rally officially kicks off on Wednesday, the main festivities take place on C Street, Virginia City’s main drive, Saturday, Sept. 22. Ride to the historic town from Reno on the curve-studded, hairpin turn road up Geiger Grade, to find music and vendors along C Street. Drink in some local history in the mining town and enjoy the stories that built San Francisco and bankrolled the North during the civil war.

The town will also be bustling Thursday and Friday as bikers make their way through Virginia City for the annual Poker Run. All shops and restaurants will be open in anticipation of the event.
