The deadline for submitting entries into Dolan Automotive Group’s $50,000 Class Project is Sunday night at 11:59 p.m., giving area teachers a chance to win $2,500 in funding for a special class project. Public school teachers are encouraged to submit a concept for a project on behalf of students through Sunday to be voted on by fans of the Dolan Facebook page, Facebook.com/DolanAutomotiveGroup, in October. The top 20 vote-earners receive $2,500 to help bring the idea to life. Project topics are at the discretion of the teacher. Whether it is an art or science project, music, technology or something different altogether, unique and creative proposals are encouraged. Teachers must be K-12 public school or public charter school employees in Washoe, Carson City, Churchill, Douglas, Humboldt, Lyon, Mineral, Pershing or Storey counties to enter.
