PR chapter accepting entries for awards

prsa_logo-square-small-150x150-6472983-3861919The Sierra Nevada Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America is accepting entries for its annual Silver Spike Awards that recognize the best in public and media relations programs. The Silver Spike Awards also recognize community members and professionals for their leadership, vision and service in the public and media relations industries.

Members and non-members who have initiated media and public relations programs in the Northern Nevada and Sierra Nevada areas are invited to enter. Entries for program awards are due by Friday, September 28, 2012 at 5 PM. Members and non-members may nominate professionals for the individual awards which are due by Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 at 5 PM.

Winners will be announced at the annual Silver Spike Awards celebration on Thursday, November 15, 2012, 6 PM, at the Atlantis Hotel & Casino in Reno, NV.

The Sierra Nevada Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America works to advance public relations in the Reno, Carson and Lake Tahoe areas. The Chapter also works closely with and supports the student affiliation, Public Relations Student Society of America.
