Nevada Takes on No. 15 California Sunday

The University of Nevada soccer team (4-4-1, 0-0 MW) will welcome its first ranked opponent to Mackay Stadium Sunday afternoon, with a match against No. 15 California (6-2, 0-0 Pac-12) at 1 p.m. The Wolf Pack is 0-2 as a program against ranked opponents, losing 3-1 to No. 16 Stanford during the 2006 season and falling 3-0 to No. 17 Santa Clara last season.

The Bears lead the overall series 1-0, defeating Nevada 4-1 in the previous meeting during the 2009 season in Berkeley. Seniors Lauren Braman and Dana Moreno each saw time in the loss.
