Michael Bolton, Dave Mason Benefit Show Nov. 10, Eldorado Hotel Casino

Date:

Two-time Grammy-Award®-Winning artist Michael Bolton joins legendary Rock and Roll Hall-of-Famer Dave Mason for a November 10 benefit dinner and concert in celebration of the 20th anniversary of The Michael Bolton Charities, Inc. (MBC), an organization dedicated to raising awareness about violence against women. Along with Mason, Bolton is joined by special guest, Grammy-Award®-Winning songwriter Bill Champlin, formerly of Chicago, and Joan Lunden, celebrated journalist and former host of “Good Morning America.” Lunden serves as Mistress of Ceremonies for her 20th consecutive year at the annual event.

The 20th annual MBC dinner and concert takes place Saturday, Nov. 10 at the Eldorado Hotel Casino in downtown Reno, Nev. where local residents and humanitarians Warren and Jâlé Trepp, and William J. McNamee of Citi, also are set to receive The MBC “Lifetime Achievement” Award. Attendees at the exclusive event are treated to a silent auction and cocktails followed by dinner, a live auction, awards ceremony and concert from the three world-renowned musicians.

The Nov. 10 event celebrates two decades of The MBC’s assistance to children and women at risk and as a result, has chosen northern Nevada as a base to launch its national effort to create awareness and education for issues affecting children and women at risk. In keeping with this mission, The MBC has also selected two prominent local non-profit agencies to benefit from the event: The Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows and the Nevada Military Support Alliance (NMSA). In addition, Work Vessels for Veterans and Yoga Blue also receive grants from the celebration’s successes.

The MBC honorees, the Trepps, are known for their longstanding commitment to giving back to the local community and organizations across the country. Warren Trepp is the Co-Founder, Past Chairman and Chair Emeritus of The Parasol Tahoe Community Foundation (Parasol) while Jâlé Trepp has served as Co-Chair of Parasol’s Annual Celebrity Golf Event. William J. McNamee is being recognized for his unparalleled efforts as a board member of The MBC.  Mr. McNamee has consistently provided resources for children at risk in the Connecticut and New York areas as well as substantial financial donations to the MBC.

“The Michael Bolton Charities serves as an instrument of compassion to give to those less fortunate – those children and women who deserve a chance for a better life,” Michael Bolton said.  “Celebrating its 20th year, the major focus of The MBC is the critical issue of violence against women. Since its inception, more than $10 million has been raised from contributions and special events, benefiting more than 100 organizations in cities across the country that support children and women at risk of poverty, abuse, neglect, homelessness, child trafficking and domestic violence.”

Sponsorships and tickets for The MBC 20th anniversary charity benefit are available now and may be purchased by visiting www.MichaelBoltonCharities.com or calling 203-483-6463.
