Electric Auto Association of Northern Nevada, Plug In America and the Sierra Club host National Plug in Day September 23rd

Date:

National Plug In Day (NPID) is the nation’s largest grassroots electric vehicle (EV) event. Over 60 cities will participate with EV celebrations and you’re invited to join us on Sunday, September 23rd from 10:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Idlewild Park in Reno.

NPID is a non-profit event hosted by local EV enthusiasts: We. Don’t. Sell. Cars.

Our purpose is to provide our neighbors with the opportunity to ride/drive (based on availability) this exciting new emerging automotive technology—in a fun no sales pressure environment. Many homebuilt as well as OEM EVs will be on hand to view, ask questions of EV owners, and to ride/drive—for free!

We’ll also be holding a very special raffle for three opportunities to test drive a—a 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds, 240 mile range, 100 percent electric, $120,000—Tesla Motors’ Roadster—WOW!

Representatives will also be on hand from more than a dozen area nonprofit groups and governmental entities. Additionally, there will be EV charging equipment demonstrations and the GourMelt truck will be serving up their fabulous grilled cheese sandwiches and drinks.

Join us—bring your friends—it’s FREE! For a complete list of National Plug In Day events around the nation, please visit: www.pluginday.org.
