The new Dayton Public Computing Center has announced that the Center will be open to the public on Saturdays, September 29 and October 6, for the express purpose of assisting citizens with online voter registration.
The Center is located at Dayton Elementary School, 285 Old Dayton Valley Road, in Room 3. The hours each Saturday will be 10:00am to 3:00pm.
The deadline to register to vote for the November 6, 2012 election is October 16, 2010, but after October 7, a personal appearance in the Lyon County Clerk’s office is required.
You should take advantage of this opportunity if you have 1)changed your address since the last time you voted, 2)have changed your name since the last time you voted, 3) have moved to Nevada since the last time you voted, 4)are 18 or will be 18 by November 6 and have never registered to vote, or 5) if you wish to change your political party affiliation.
A Nevada DMV issued photo ID card or driver’s license is required to register to vote.
A computer center facilitator will be present if you need assistance and will assure your registration privacy and confidentiality.
