Nevada Guard retiree appreciation day set for Oct. 13, 2012

CARSON CITY – The long-time military service and dedication of recently-retired Nevada Army Guard soldiers will be recognized Saturday, Oct. 13, in Carson City during the annual Retiree Appreciation Day. The event includes a retiree ceremony honoring the Nevada Army Guard’s 2012 retirees at 11 a.m. The day’s events begin at 9:30 a.m. and will include a Fallon Naval Air Station commissary lot sale and the Hall of Fame retiree awards ceremony. Military identification is required for commissary lot purchases.

WHAT: Nevada National Guard Retiree Appreciation Day

WHO: 2012 Army Guard retirees will be recognized during ceremony. All retirees and those with military identification invited to participate in case lot sale.

WHEN: Saturday, Oct. 13, activities begin at 9:30 a.m.; ceremony at 11:00 a.m.

WHERE: Office of The Adjutant General, 2460 Fairview Drive, Carson City
