The Discovery introduces $4 admission after 4:00 pm on Wednesdays

Discover Reno’s most exciting, hands-on museum for a lower admission price

Beginning on Wednesday, July 18th, admission to the Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum (The Discovery) will be reduced to just $4 after 4:00 pm on Wednesdays. The promotion aims to create an affordable opportunity for everyone to visit Reno’s newest hands-on museum for children and their families. The promotion will continue through Wednesday, August 22nd.

“The Discovery has welcomed over 170,000 locals and tourists into the museum since opening last September,” said Patrick Turner, marketing manager. “Our goal is to create opportunities for everyone to visit Reno’s newest hands-on museum for children and families, and this is just the beginning.”

In addition to the $4 after 4:00 pm promotion, The Discovery has also extended its hours for the summer. Through August 26th the museum is open from 10:00am to 5:00pm on Monday and Tuesday, 10:00am to 8:00pm on Wednesday, 10:00am to 5:00pm Thursday through Saturday and noon to 5:00pm on Sunday.

Other summer activities at The Discovery include weekend family art and science classes, daily art activities in Art Alcove and an engineering competition for two different age groups called the “Seismic Challenge” set for July 21st, 28th and 29th.
