Reno Chamber Orchestra Concerts With Violinist Bella Hristova July 19 and 21

Date:

The Reno Chamber Orchestra is pleased to present world-renowned violinist Bella Hristova in two Artown concerts next week!

On Thursday, July 19 at 7:00 p.m. at UNR’s Nightingale Concert Hall, Ms. Hristova – who returns to Reno by popular demand after thrilling audiences at the RCO’s 2011 Nevada Chamber Music Festival – joins Maestro Theodore Kuchar and the RCO for The Four Seasons x2. Antonio Vivaldi’s famous masterpiece The Four Seasons is paired with The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires by Astor Piazzolla. Also on the program is Mozart’s Divertimento No. 11. Program notes for this concert are now available at the RCO website. You can also find out more about Vivaldi’s and Piazzolla’s approaches to the subject of the “four seasons” in a podcast hosted by Chris Morrison and available at the RCO website’s front page or Audio page.

On Saturday, July 21 at 7:00 p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (501 California Avenue in Reno), we present The Nevada Chamber Music Festival in July – Bella Hristova In Recital, an unforgettable evening of music for unaccompanied violin by John Corigliano, 2012 Pulitzer Prize winner Kevin Puts, Astor Piazzolla, Nathan Milstein, and J.S. Bach.

Admission for each of the concerts is $20 general, and $5 for youth age 18 and younger and full-time students. $100 VIP tickets are also available for Ms. Hristova’s solo recital, which include preferred seating, a post-concert reception with the artist, and a signed compact disc. Only 50 VIP tickets will be sold.

Tickets are available online or by calling (775) 348-9413.

Ms. Hristova’s Reno appearances are made possible by a generous gift from Cecilia Lee, Ltd.
