Dairy Queen (DQ) restaurants throughout northern Nevada will participate in the seventh annual Miracle Treat Day on Thursday, July 26. Throughout the day, $1 or more from every Blizzard treat sold at participating DQ stores will be donated in support of theChildren’s Miracle Network Hospital at Renown (CMNH). In addition, DQ will donate an extra $1 to your local CMNH for every person joining theDairy Queen Miracle Treat Day Facebook page event. Click the “Join” button at the top right of the page.
Since 1984, DQ has raised more than $90 million dollars to help save and improve the lives of children. Last year on Miracle Treat Day, DQ locations across the United States and Canada raised more than $5 million for 170 CMNH. All money raised at local DQ restaurants will stay in the Truckee Meadows community to help fund state-of-the-art equipment and provide support for pediatric services and education programs at Renown Children’s Hospital.
“Dairy Queen has always been a tremendous supporter of CMNH,” said Kiemmy Boc, Renown Children’s Miracle Network Hospital coordinator. “The Dairy Queen restaurants in northern Nevada help raise money by collecting change, selling paper miracle balloons and holding special events like Miracle Treat Day. Their efforts make a genuine difference in the lives of the patients at Renown Children’s Hospital.”
