Experienced physician named medical director of neuroscience institute

John Farr Rothrock, M.D., neurologist, has joined Renown Health as the medical director for Renown Institute for Neurosciences. Dr. Rothrock officially joined the team of specialists July 1.

With more than 35 years of experience, Dr. Rothrock specializes in headache and stroke and is board certified in neurology, vascular neurology and headache. He has been cited in “America’s Top Doctors” and “Best Doctors in America” in each of the past 10 years. In 2007 he was cited in “Men’s Health” magazine as one of the 20 top neurologists in America, and in 2008 he received the same citation in “Women’s Health.”

“Renown Institute for Neuroscience is committed to advancing medical research,” said David Veillette, executive vice president of specialty hospitals for Renown Health. “With the expertise that Dr. Rothrock brings, patients needing complex neurological care can stay close to home while receiving world-class treatment and care.”

Dr. Rothrock’s office will be located on the third floor of 85 Kirman across the street of Renown Regional Medical Center.
