The Tuscan Tomato is the newest addition to the dining options at The Summit. The Italian-fusion restaurant provides a seasonally changing menu with hand-crafted, mouth-watering dishes.
Jacob Gordon, owner and head chef of The Tuscan Tomato brings years of experience and passion as he utilizes fresh and local ingredients to open his first restaurant in Reno.
“At The Tuscan Tomato, we offer fresh, hand-crafted dishes and a casual atmosphere to provide a whole a dining experience to Reno,” said Gordon.
From crisp green salads, hand-made pasta to Kobe beef burgers and savory steaks and seafood, The Tuscan Tomato provides a new dining experience and menu options that will satisfy every palate. The lunch options include the signature roasted beet salad with white balsamic citrus vinaigrette, chicken and garlic cream or sage and the brown butter butternut squash raviolis.
The dinner options include roasted chicken with gorgonzola polenta and roasted chicken glace, butter basted scallops topped with Thai basil gremolata and sweet tomato relish. Guests can also choose from double cut lamb racks with gnocchi, artichoke heart and piquillo pepper hash and mint demi glace to finish or the rib eye served with charred cauliflower and shallot salad, spiced fingerling potatoes and roasted garlic and port wine mushroom butter.
On Thursday, June 27 the Pedroncelli wine dinner special will feature a four-course menu for $65. The dinner includes a St. Andre triple cream brie,calimyrna fig compote and frisee salad, paired with a 2011 Pedroncelli East Side Vineyards sauvignon blanc; caramelized pork tenderloin, served with wild cherry mostarda and oven roasted cipollini onion, paired with a 2010 Pedroncelli Russian River Valley pinot noir; pan roasted duck breast on a bed of sautéed arugula topped with Thai basil, cilantro and orange gremolata paired with a 2010 Friends Sonoma County red wine and cinnamon and coriander crusted hanger steak with coffee mustard paired with 2009 Pedroncelli Mother Clone Zinfandel. All choices will end with a watermelon basil sorbet. Seating is limited; call (775) 853-0700 to reserve a seat.
Other current promotions include a free salad with any pasta purchase Mondays and a two for $60 dinner special on Thursdays that includes a choice of two salads, two entrees and a bottle of house wine.
