Reno Fire Department investigators are seeking the community’s help with information regarding a series of arson fires.
Since Wednesday, the Reno Fire Department has responded to 10 fires that have been set in the area between Moana Lane and Redfield Parkway. Additionally, in the past two weeks there have been intermittent fires that have been set to small rubbish piles, grass, and dumpsters. The fires are taking place between midnight and approximately 5:00 a.m. Firefighters have been able to arrive on scene before the fires spread and quickly extinguish them.
The Reno Fire Department is working with the Reno Police Department to aggressively pursue the arsonist(s) and will prosecute to the fullest extent when apprehended. Investigators are asking anyone with information about these crimes to contact the Secret WitneJkrss Program at 322-4900 where they can provide information anonymously, or fire investigators at 334-2300.
