Red Cross responds to Sun Valley residents displaced by house fire

redcrosslogo250-9614339-9829494Northern Nevada Chapter of the American Red Cross volunteers assisted a Sun Valley family when their mobile home was destroyed by fire yesterday. After being notified by first responders, Red Cross volunteers met with the displaced family at the hospital, where one of the residents was being treated for injuries sustained by the fire. Volunteers were able to help the residents make contact with their insurance company and make arrangements for temporary shelter, clothing and other items.

Red Cross case workers will follow up with the residents to determine if any additional assistance will be required.
