Prime Rib nights and other high-value specials in Katie’s, a variety of dinner entrees plus an early dining Sunset Menu in CV Steak and plenty of different beverage and snack options in Job’s Perk are all on the menu at the Carson Valley Inn during July.
CV Steak is open from 4:30 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday with a special early-dining Sunset Menu served from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. featuring 3-course dinners for $18. The Inn’s Nevada-style steakhouse offers a selection of tasty appetizers and a generous assortment of entrées including steaks, chops, seafood, chicken and pasta dishes. CV Steak also has a bountiful wine list – by the glass or bottle – a specialty drink menu, a dessert menu and a special menu for children 12 and under.
All CV Steak entrees include tableside-tossed salad and, except for the pasta dishes, a vegetable and your choice of potato – baked, au gratin or a one-pound, twice-baked potato. Katie’s complete Prime Rib Dinner every Friday and Saturday night for $9.99 includes a half-pound of slow-roasted prime rib of beef with au jus, twice-baked potato, creamed horseradish sauce and choice of soup or salad. This special is also available in a ¾-pound cut for $12.99 and a full pound cut for $15.99. “The Chandler” Southern Fried Chicken dinner continues its long run on Sundays in Katie’s and includes mashed potatoes, gravy, coleslaw and a biscuit all for just $5.99.
On Mondays in July, Katie’s offers a Beef Machaca Mexicali Plate with tortillas, refried beans, Spanish rice and salsa for $5.99. The Tuesday-night specials are a Breaded Pork Cutlet Plate with mashed potatoes, pan gravy and vegetable or a Chicken Parmigiana Plate with marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, broccoli and garlic bread. Both of these Tuesday specials are just $5.99 and the Chicken Parmigiana Plate is offered again on Wednesday nights for $5.99. Every Thursday in July, Katie’s serves a Roast Turkey Breast Plate with mashed potatoes, giblet gravy and stuffing for $6.99. Fresh-baked cakes, pies, cupcakes, brownies and cookies are made daily in the Carson Valley Inn Bakery and are available for purchase at the display case near the Katie’s cashier counter. As a special bonus for INN Club members during July, all Katie’s baked goods are half off on Mondays when purchased with INN Club points. Points are earned whenever using your card while playing the slots, table games or live poker at the Carson Valley Inn.
Katie’s 24-hour signature special is a $5.99 Hamsteak and Eggs plate with enough ham for sandwich leftovers the next day! There’s also a $4.99 “Loaded Pancakes” special mornings until 11 a.m. and a $5 lunch special is available Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Job’s Perk opens daily at 6 a.m. and is a convenient spot for morning or midday coffee and pastries, beverages or an afternoon/evening iced-coffee drink, fresh-baked cookie or smoothie. Job’s Perk also sells newspapers, sundries and CVI-logo apparel.
