AGC NEWS RELEASE

As construction site safety issues continue to grab national attention, the Nevada Chapter of the Associated General Contractors today recognized its most conscientious companies.

The Nevada chapter held its 15th Annual Golden Hard Hat Awards Luncheon today in the Harrah’s Convention Center in downtown. Companies including building and engineering general contractors, specialty contractors and suppliers were recognized for AGC of America Awards based on no lost time from accidents.

In conjunction with June as National Safety Month, AGC also presented its prestigious Golden Hard Hat Award, awarded to the “Best of the Best” in safety. AGC of America Awards were given to more than a dozen local firms. This award recognizes a quality safety record by comparing safety records against the average of national AGC members of similar size and type. These companies have a zero incidents rate or are 25 percent or more below the Division average.
